Kochi: എരൂരിൽ സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾ തമ്മിൽ മദ്യപാനത്തിനിടെ ഉണ്ടായ അടിപിടിയിൽ ഒരാൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു. എരൂർ പെരീക്കാട് സ്വദേശി സനൽ ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. സനലിൻ്റെ സുഹൃത്തു അശോകൻ പൊലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലാണ്. മറ്റൊരാൾക്കായി തിരച്ചിൽ തുടരുന്നു. രാത്രി ഒരു മണിയോടെയാണ് സംഭവം.
ഏരൂർ പെരീക്കാട് ബോട്ട് ജെട്ടിയ്ക്ക് സമീപം കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട സനലും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളായ അശോകനും ജിഷിയും ചേർന്ന് മദ്യപിക്കുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് അടിപിടി ഉണ്ടായത്. പെരീക്കാട് സ്വദേശി സനലിനെ കായലിൽ ചെളിയിൽ താഴ്ന്ന നിലയിലാണ് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. കായലിൽ ചവിട്ടി താഴ്ത്തിയത് ആണോ എന്ന് പൊലീസ് സംശയിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. സ്ഥിരം മദ്യപാനികളുടെ സ്‌ഥലം ആയതിനാൽ രാത്രിയിൽ ശബ്ദം കേട്ട് ആദ്യം സമീപത്തെ വീട്ടുകാർ പുറത്തേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിയില്ല. പ്രദേശവാശികൂടിയായ സനലിന്റെ ശബ്ദം ആണെന്ന്തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതോടെ വീട്ടുകാര പുറത്തേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങി, പൊലീസിലും വിവരം അറിയിച്ചു. സനലിന്റെ സുഹൃത്തു ജിഷിയാണ് ആക്രമണത്തിന് പിന്നിലെന്ന് സംശയിക്കുന്നതായി പ്രദേശവാസി വനജ പറഞ്ഞു. ജിഷിയുടെ ഓട്ടോ റിക്ഷയിലാണ് മൂവരും സ്‌ഥലത്തു എത്തിയത്. കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട സനൽ ധരിച്ചിരുന്ന ടിഷർട്ട് ഓട്ടോയ്ക്ക് മുകളിൽ ഊരി വച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഫോറസ്റൻസിക് വിദഗ്ദ്ധരും ഡോഗ് സ്ക്വഡും സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി പരിശോധന നടത്തി.
In Erur, Kochi, a man was killed during a fight between friends while drinking alcohol. The deceased was identified as Sanal, a native of Perikkad, Erur. His friend Ashokan is in police custody, while the search for another individual is ongoing. The incident occurred around 1 AM near the Erur Perikkad Boat Jetty. Sanal, Ashokan, and another friend, Jishie, were drinking together when the altercation broke out. Sanal’s body was found in the muddy waters of the backwaters, and police suspect that he might have been pushed into the water.
The location was a known drinking spot, and at first, nearby residents didn’t go outside when they heard noise. However, when they realized it was Sanal’s voice, they went out and informed the police. It is suspected that Jishie was behind the attack, according to local resident Vana. The trio had arrived at the location in Jishie’s auto-rickshaw. Sanal’s T-shirt was found draped over the auto-rickshaw. Forensic experts and the dog squad arrived at the scene for an investigation.
