Kodencherry: സെൻ്റ് ജോസഫ്സ് ഹയർ സെക്കൻ്ററി സ്കൂളിൽ Scouts & Guides – നാഷണൽ സർവ്വീസ് സ്കീം യൂണിറ്റുകളുടെ സംയുക്താഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ ശാരീരികവും, മാനസികവുമായ ആരോഗ്യം ഉറപ്പു വരുത്തുന്നതിന് വ്യക്തിയെയും, കുടുംബത്തെയും അതിലൂടെ സമൂഹത്തെയും അതിവേഗം തകർച്ചയിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുന്ന രാസ ലഹരിക്കെതിരെ അതീവ ജാഗ്രത പുലർത്തുന്നതിന് ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ പ്രതിജ്ഞയെടുത്ത് സേന രൂപീകരിച്ചു. ലഹരി ഉപയോഗവും അനധികൃത കടത്തും രാജ്യത്തെ യുവാക്കളുടെ വീര്യം കെടുത്തുമെന്നതിനാൽ തിരിച്ചറിവ് നേടി ലഹരിക്കെതിരെ പോരാടണമെന്ന് ഉദ്ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ വിജോയ് തോമസ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് പ്രതിജ്ഞ ചൊല്ലിക്കൊടുത്തു.
അദ്ധ്യാപകരോടൊപ്പം Scouts & Guides, National Service Scheme വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും ചേർന്നാണ് സ്കൂളിൽ ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ സേന(*Say No To Drugs*) പ്രവർത്തിക്കുക. മയക്കുമരുന്നിൻ്റെ വിപണനവും ഉപയോഗവും തടയുന്നതിന് സംസ്ഥാന പോലീസ് വകുപ്പിൻ്റെ *യോദ്ധാവ് 9995966666* എന്ന വാട്സാപ്പ് നമ്പറിലൂടെ വിവരം കൈമാറിക്കൊണ്ട് മാതാപിതാക്കളുടെയും, പൊതുജനങ്ങളുടെയും പിന്തുണ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുകയാണ്. ലഹരിക്ക് അടിമപ്പെട്ടവരെ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരാനുള്ള ശ്രമവും അത്യാവശ്യമാണ്.
മനുഷ്യ ശരീരത്തിലെ ഓരോ അവയവങ്ങളെയും തകർത്ത് ജീവൻ അപഹരിക്കുവാനുള്ള ശേഷി രാസ ലഹരിക്കുണ്ട്. ഇതുവരെ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗം മൂലം എയ്ഡ്സ്, ഹെപ്പറ്റൈറ്റിസ് രോഗം പുതുതായി 14 ലക്ഷം പേർക്ക് പിടിപെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കി ലഹരിയെ പൂർണ്ണമായും സമൂഹത്തിൽ നിന്ന് തുരത്തിയോടിക്കേണ്ടത് നാമോരോരുത്തരുടെയും അവശ്യമാണ്.
‘ലഹരിയല്ല ജീവിതം, ജീവിതമാണ് ലഹരിയെന്ന സന്ദേശം പകർന്നു നൽകിക്കൊണ്ട് ആരോഗ്യമുള്ള തലമുറയെ വാർത്തെടുക്കേണ്ടത് സമൂഹത്തിൻ്റെ നിലനില്പിന് അത്യന്താപേക്ഷിതമാണ്. പരിപാടികൾക്ക് സ്കൗട്ട് – ഗൈഡ് – എൻ.എസ്.എസ് ലീഡേഴ്സായ അലൻ ഷിജോ, ബെനിൽ മനേഷ്, അലീന ബിജു, ജിയ മരിയ ജെയ്സൺ, അദ്ധ്യാപകരായ സജി ജെ കരോട്ട്, മോൻസി ജോസഫ്, സജീഷ് കെ എം, സിന്ദു പോൾ, ബിക്സി ചാക്കോച്ചൻ, ജീന തോമസ്, സ്കൗട്ട് മാസ്റ്റർ ഷീൻ പി ജേക്കബ്, ഗൈഡ് ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ ലീന സക്കറിയാസ്, എ ൻ.എസ്.എസ് പ്രോഗ്രാം ഓഫീസർ അഖിൽ ടോം മാത്യു എന്നിവർ നേതൃത്വം നൽകി.
At St. Joseph’s Higher Secondary School, Kodencherry, an Anti-Drug Army was formed under the joint initiative of Scouts & Guides and National Service Scheme (NSS) to promote students’ physical and mental well-being. The campaign aims to create awareness against drug abuse, which leads individuals, families, and society toward destruction. Principal Vijoy Thomas administered the anti-drug pledge, urging students to fight against drug use and illegal trafficking, which harm the nation’s youth.
The Anti-Drug Army will function within the school, with active participation from Scouts & Guides and NSS members. To prevent drug use and trafficking, the Kerala Police Department’s “Yodhav” WhatsApp helpline (9995966666) is provided for anonymous reporting. Parents and the general public are encouraged to support this initiative. Additionally, efforts will be made to rehabilitate individuals struggling with drug addiction.
Drug abuse severely affects the human body, leading to life-threatening diseases such as AIDS and Hepatitis, with over 1.4 million new cases reported globally due to substance use. The initiative highlights the urgency of eliminating drug abuse from society.
Promoting the message “Say No To Drugs – Choose Life”, the campaign seeks to nurture a healthier generation. The event was led by Scouts & Guides and NSS leaders, along with faculty members Saji J. Karott, Moncy Joseph, Sajish K.M., Sindu Paul, Bixy Chackochen, Jeena Thomas, Scout Master Sheen P. Jacob, Guide Captain Leena Zacharias, and NSS Program Officer Akhil Tom Mathew.
