Kozhikode: In the Thenhipalam POCSO case, the mother and younger brother of the victim girl are now left homeless. They had been living in a rented house, but due to financial difficulties, they have not been able to pay rent for the past three years. The house owner approached the court, and following a court order, they were evicted from the house.
When the girl, who was the victim in the POCSO case, died by suicide, the government had promised to provide protection and construct a house for the family. However, even after three years, no such support has been provided. The horrific abuse that the girl faced in 2017 and her subsequent suicide have left the family deeply traumatized. Since then, they have been surviving with the help of local residents.
