Mananthavady: മാനന്തവാടിയിൽ മരം മുറിച്ചു മാറ്റുന്നതിനിടെ ദേഹത്ത് വീണ് പരിക്കേറ്റ യുവാവ് മരിച്ചു. പിച്ചംങ്കോട് ക്വാറി റോഡിൽ കല്ലിപ്പാടത്ത് രാജേഷ് ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. രാവിലെ പതിനൊന്ന് മണിയോടെ തോണിച്ചാൽ ഗവൺമെൻ്റ് കോളേജിന് സമീപത്തെ സ്വകാര്യ തോട്ടത്തിൽ നിന്നും മരം മുറിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് അപകടം. മുറിച്ചിട്ട മരം താഴെ നിൽക്കുകയായിരുന്ന രാജേഷിന്റെ ദേഹത്തു വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു. തലക്ക് ഗുരുതര പരിക്കേറ്റ രാജേഷിനെ വയനാട് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ എത്തിച്ചേങ്കിലും ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല. പോസ്റ്റ്‌മോര്‍ട്ടത്തിന് ശേഷം മൃതദേഹം വൈകീട്ടോടെ വീട്ടുവളപ്പിൽ സംസ്കരിക്കും.
Mananthavady: A young man died after being injured when a tree fell on him during clearing work in Mananthavady. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh from Kallippadath, Pitchamkodu Quarry Road.
The accident occurred around 11 a.m. while he was cutting down trees at a private plantation near Thonichal Government College. While working, a tree that had been cut fell onto Rajesh, who was standing below. He sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Wayanad Medical College but could not be saved. The funeral will be held later in the evening at his home premises after the post-mortem.
