In Pantheerankavu, police made a major breakthrough in a ₹40 lakh bank fraud case involving accused Shibin Lal. Acting on a tip-off, police recovered ₹39 lakh buried in a property near his home. Initially, Shibin claimed he handed the money to someone else, but later interrogation revealed the truth. The fraud occurred on June 11 against ESAF Bank staff. Only ₹55,000 had been recovered previously
