Kozhikode: അമീബിക് മസ്തിഷ്ക ജ്വരം ബാധിച്ച് ഇന്നലെ മരിച്ച റഹീമിനൊപ്പം ഹോട്ടലിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ആളെയും സമാന ലക്ഷങ്ങളോടെ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. കഴിഞ്ഞ ശനിയാഴ്ചയാണ് കോട്ടയം സ്വദേശി ശശിയെ താമസസ്ഥലത്ത് മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഇരുവരും ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്ന കോഴിക്കോട് പന്നിയങ്കരയിലെ ശ്രീനാരായണ ഹോട്ടൽ അടച്ചിടാൻ കോർപറേഷൻ നിർദേശം നൽകി. ഇവർ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന വീട്ടിലെ കിണറിൽ നിന്നും വെള്ളത്തിന്‍റെ സാമ്പിൾ ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പ് ശേഖരിച്ചു. സംഭവത്തെതുടര്‍ന്ന് പ്രദേശവാസികള്‍ ആശങ്കയിലാണ്. അബോധാവസ്ഥയിലായിരുന്ന റഹീം ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെ ഇന്നലെയാണ് മരിച്ചത്. റഹീമിന്‍റെ മരണം അമീബിക് മസ്തിഷ്ക ജ്വരത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്നാണെന്ന് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു.
In Kozhikode, a second hotel worker, Shashi from Kottayam, was found dead with symptoms similar to those of Raheem, who had recently died from amoebic meningoencephalitis. Both worked at Sree Narayana Hotel, which has been shut down by authorities. Water samples from their residence were collected for testing. The deaths have caused widespread concern among local residents, as Raheem’s case was officially confirmed to be caused by amoebic meningoencephalitis.
