Kochi: 2015ലെ കൊക്കെയ്ന്‍ കേസില്‍ നടന്‍ Shine Tom Chacko കുറ്റവിമുക്തന്‍. നടന്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ കേസിലെ എല്ലാ പ്രതികളേയും എറണാകുളം സെഷന്‍സ് കോടതി വെറുതെവിട്ടു. എട്ട് പ്രതികളായിരുന്നു കേസിലുണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. ഇവരില്‍ ഒരാള്‍ ഒഴികെ എല്ലാവരും വിചാരണ നേരിട്ടിരുന്നു. തുടര്‍ന്ന്, മുഴുവന്‍ പ്രതികളേയും കോടതി കുറ്റവിമുക്തരാക്കി. Shine Tom Chacko യ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി അഭിഭാഷകന്‍ രാമന്‍ പിള്ള കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരായി.
Kochi കടവന്ത്രയിലെ ഫ്ളാറ്റില്‍ നടത്തിയ റെയ്ഡിലാണ് നടന്‍ ഷൈന്‍ ടോം ചാക്കോയും മോഡലുകളും പിടിയിലാവുന്നത്. 2015 ജനുവരി 30-നായിരുന്നു സംഭവം. 2018 ഒക്ടോബറിലായിരുന്നു അഡീഷണല്‍ സെഷന്‍സ് കോടതിയില്‍ വിചാരണ ആരംഭിച്ചത്. കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ കൊക്കെയ്ന്‍ കേസായിരുന്നു ഇത്.
Kochi: Actor Shine Tom Chacko has been acquitted in the 2015 cocaine case. The Ernakulam Sessions Court has acquitted all the accused in the case, including the actor. There were eight accused in the case, and all but one underwent trial. Subsequently, the court acquitted all the accused. Advocate Raman Pillai represented Shine Tom Chacko in court.
The actor and models were arrested during a raid at a flat in Kadavanthra, Kochi. The incident took place on January 30, 2015. The trial began in October 2018 in the Additional Sessions Court. This was the first cocaine case in Kerala.
