Kozhikode: ഡോക്ടർ ബി ആർ അംബേദ്കറുടെ ജന്മദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് റോട്ടറി ക്ലബ് ഓഫ് കാലിക്കറ്റ് BR അംബേദ്കർ ദേശീയത ഭരണഘടന എന്ന വിഷയത്തിൽപ്രഭാഷണം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.
അഡ്വക്കേറ്റ് പി വി മോഹൻലാലാണ് പ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തിയത്. എല്ലാവർക്കും തുല്യത പ്രദാനം ചെയ്ത ഒരു ഭരണഘടനയാണ് ബി ആർ അംബേദ്കർ ഭാരതത്തിനായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്. എന്നാൽ എല്ലാവർക്കും സാമൂഹ്യനീതിയും തുല്യതയും അവസരസമത്വവും ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തുന്നതിൽ ഭരണകൂടങ്ങളും രാഷ്ട്രീയപാർട്ടികളും പരാജയമാണെന്നും എല്ലാവർക്കും തുല്യതയും സാമൂഹികതയും ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തുന്നതിന് വീഴ്ച കാട്ടുന്ന വരെ തിരിച്ചറിയണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം കിട്ടി പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകൾ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും പിന്നോക്ക ദളിത് ന്യൂനപക്ഷ വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ ഭരണ തലത്തിലും രാഷ്ട്രീയ തലത്തിലും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥ തലത്തിലും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മേഖലകളിലും കടുത്ത അവഗണനയാണ് നേരിടുന്നതന്നും അവരെ സാമൂഹ്യന ഉന്നതിയിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുന്നതിൽ ഭരണകൂടങ്ങൾ പരാജയപ്പെടുകയാണ് ഉണ്ടായതെന്നും അതിൽ നിന്ന് മോചനം കിട്ടാൻ ആരുടെയും ഔദാര്യം തേടേണ്ടതില്ലെന്നും മറിച്ച് അത് അവരുടെ ഭരണഘടനാപരമായ അവകാശമാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ഓർമിപ്പിച്ചു. ക്ലബ്ബ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് എടത്തൊടി രാധാകൃഷ്ണൻ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. വി വി മുഹമ്മദ് അലി കെ പി കൃഷ്ണൻ എന്നിവർ സംസാരിച്ചു.
Kozhikode: In connection with Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, the Rotary Club of Calicut organized a lecture on the topic “B. R. Ambedkar: Nationalism and the Constitution.”
Advocate P. V. Mohanlal delivered the lecture. He emphasized that B. R. Ambedkar created a constitution for India that ensured equality for all. However, governments and political parties have failed to guarantee social justice, equality, and equal opportunities for everyone. He stressed that until this failure is acknowledged, true equality and social justice cannot be achieved.
Even decades after independence, backward, Dalit, and minority communities continue to face severe discrimination in governance, politics, civil services, and education. The speaker added that the government has failed to uplift these communities socially. He firmly stated that these communities do not need to beg for kindness or mercy, as their rights are constitutional entitlements.
Club president Edathodi Radhakrishnan presided over the event. V. V. Muhammad Ali and K. P. Krishnan also spoke on the occasion.
