കുടംബത്തിൽ ഐശ്വര്യമുണ്ടാകുന്നതിനും ദേവപ്രീതിക്കുമായാണ് കൊടും ക്രൂരത ലാലാ ഭായ് ചെയ്തതെന്ന് പോലീസ് പറയുന്നു. അമ്മയുടെ മുന്നിലിട്ടാണ് കുട്ടിയെ കൊന്നത്. പ്രതി മനോവൈകല്യമുള്ളയാളാണെന്നും കൊലപാതകത്തിൽ മറ്റാർക്കെങ്കിലും പങ്കുണ്ടോയെന്ന് അന്വേഷിച്ച് വരിയാണെന്നും പൊലീസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
പെൺകുട്ടിയുടെയും അമ്മയുടെയും നിലവിളി കേട്ട് ഗ്രാമവാസികൾ ഓടിയെത്തിയിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും പ്രതിയുടെ കൈവശം ആയുധമുള്ളതിനാൽ അടുക്കാനായില്ലെന്നും എല്ലാവരും നോക്കി നിൽക്കെയാണ് പ്രതി ക്രൂരകൃത്യം നടത്തിയതെന്നും പ്രദേശവാസികളിലൊരാൾ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി.
