Kozhikode: ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ അഞ്ചരയോടെയാണ് അപകടം ഉണ്ടായത്. പന്തീരാങ്കാവിന് സമീപം അറപ്പുഴ പാലത്തിനോട് ചേർന്ന് ദേശീയപാതയിലാണ് അപകടം സംഭവിച്ചത്. പന്തീരാങ്കാവ് ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് വരികയായിരുന്ന ബെൻസ് കാറാണ് അപകടത്തിൽ പെട്ടത്. നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ട കാർ റോഡിലെ ഡിവൈഡറിൽ ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. നിമിഷനേരം കൊണ്ട് കാറിൽ തീ ആളിപ്പടർന്നു. കാർ ഡ്രൈവർ ഉറങ്ങിപ്പോയതാണ് അപകടകാരണം എന്നാണ് നിഗമനം. അപകടം ഉണ്ടായ സമയത്ത് തന്നെ കാർ ഡ്രൈവർ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയതിനാൽ വൻ ദുരന്തം ഒഴിവായി. മീഞ്ചന്ത ഫയർ യൂണിറ്റ് സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി തീ അണച്ചു. അപകടത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ഇതുവഴിയുള്ള ഗതാഗതം തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു. പന്തീരാങ്കാവ് പോലീസ് സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയാണ് ഗതാഗതം നിയന്ത്രിച്ചത്.
Kozhikode: The accident occurred around 5:30 this morning near Panthirankavu, close to Arappuzha bridge on the national highway. A Benz car heading towards Panthirankavu lost control and crashed into the road divider. The car caught fire within moments. It is believed that the driver fell asleep, causing the accident. Fortunately, the driver managed to get out of the car immediately, preventing a major disaster. The Meenchanda fire unit arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. Traffic was disrupted due to the accident, and Panthirankavu police arrived to manage the traffic.
