Kozhikode: A woman tragically died in a road accident at the Malabar Christian College Junction in Kozhikode. The deceased has been identified as Thankamani, wife of Babu from Elathur. The accident occurred while she was traveling on a bike with her husband. The collision involved a bus named “Legend,” which was heading towards Kozhikode city. After the accident, the bus driver fled the scene.
At the time of the accident, the private bus was halted at the signal near the Christian College Junction. When the signal turned green, the bus tried to overtake the bike (bearing registration number KL 11 BC 6447) on which Babu and Thankamani were traveling, leading to the crash. As a result of the collision, both Babu and Thankamani were thrown onto the road. Tragically, the bus ran over Thankamani, causing her death. Babu, who was injured, has been admitted to Kozhikode Beach Hospital.
