Kozhikode: Around 40 people were injured when a bus overturned near the Arayidathupalam flyover in Kozhikode. The bus, operating on the Mavoor-Koolimad route from Kozhikode, overturned near Baby Memorial Hospital. Two people are in critical condition. Among the injured, eight people were shifted to the Medical College Hospital, while 27 others were taken to the nearby Baby Memorial Hospital. Reports indicate that there were 47 passengers on board. The accident occurred at around 4:10 PM and involved a bus named Liyamol. The incident happened while the bus was attempting to overtake a bike, leading to a collision and overturning. The front part of the bus was completely damaged in the crash. Efforts are currently underway to remove the bus from the road using a crane.
