Kozhikode: നിരവധി മോഷണ കേസുകളിൽ പ്രതിയായ യുവാവിനെ സ്കൂട്ടർ മോഷ്ടടിച്ച കേസിൽ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത് പൊലീസ്. Kannur ജില്ലയിലെ കപ്പകടവ് സ്വദേശി കപിൽ ദേവനെ (32) യാണ് Kozhikode Town Police പിടികൂടിയത്. കോഴിക്കോട് കുറ്റിച്ചിറയിൽ മിഷ്കാൽ പള്ളിക്ക് സമീപം നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന അബ്‌ദുറഹ്‌മാൻ എന്നയാളുടെ Access scooter മോഷ്ടിച്ച സംഭവത്തിലാണ് അറസ്റ്റ്.
കഴിഞ്ഞ മൂന്നാം തിയ്യതിയാണ് സംഭവം നടന്നത്. തുടർന്ന് അബ്‌ദുറഹ്‌മാൻ ടൗൺ പൊലീസിൽ പരാതി നൽകുകയായിരുന്നു. അന്വേഷണം നടക്കവേ നഷ്‌ടപ്പെട്ട വാഹനം കാക്കൂർ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷൻ പരിധിയിൽ ഒരാൾ ഓടിക്കുന്നതായി രഹസ്യ വിവരം ലഭിച്ചതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ചെമ്പൻകുന്ന് എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ച് കപിൽ ദേവനെ മോഷണം നടത്തിയ സ്കൂട്ടർ സഹിതമാണ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ എടുത്തത്. ഇയാളെ കൂടുതൽ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തപ്പോഴാണ് ഞെട്ടിക്കുന്ന വിവരങ്ങൾ പുറത്തുവന്നത്.
കണ്ണൂർ ജില്ലയിൽ വളപട്ടണം, ടൗൺ എന്നീ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിൽ കപിൽ ദേവന്റെ പേരിൽ കേസുകളുണ്ടെന്ന് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പറഞ്ഞു. വീട്ടിൽ ഉറങ്ങികിടക്കുകയായിരുന്ന സ്ത്രീയുടെ കഴുത്തിൽ നിന്നും സ്വർണ്ണമാല മോഷ്ടിച്ചതും വഴിയാത്രക്കാരിയുടെ മൂന്നര പവൻ വരുന്ന മാല പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചതും അടിപിടി കേസും ഉൾപ്പെടെയാണിത്. ടൗൺ സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ SI മാരായ സൂരജ്, മനോജ് കുമാർ, ASI റിനീഷ് കുമാർ, സീനിയർ സവിൽ പോലീസ് ഓഫീസർമാരായ അനൂപ്, പ്രവീൺ കുമാർ, ബിജു, സിവിൽ പോലീസ് ഓഫീസർമാരായ ജലീൽ, രമേശൻ എന്നിവരുൾപ്പെട്ട സംഘമാണ് കപിൽ ദേവനെ പിടികൂടിയത്. കോടതിയിൽ ഹാജരാക്കിയ പ്രതിയെ റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തു.
Kozhikode: A youth involved in multiple theft cases was arrested by the police for stealing a scooter. The accused, identified as Kapil Devan (32) from Kappad, Kannur district, was apprehended by Kozhikode Town Police. He was arrested in connection with the theft of an Access scooter belonging to Abdurahman, which was parked near Mishkal Mosque in Kuttichira, Kozhikode. The incident took place on the 3rd of this month. Following the theft, Abdurahman filed a complaint with the Town Police. During the investigation, a tip-off led authorities to Kakkoor Police Station limits, where the stolen vehicle was spotted. Kapil Devan was taken into custody from a location called Chembankunnu, along with the stolen scooter. Further interrogation revealed shocking details. Police confirmed that Kapil Devan had multiple theft cases registered against him at Valapattanam and Town police stations in Kannur district. His criminal history includes stealing a gold necklace from a sleeping woman, snatching a 3.5-sovereign gold chain from a pedestrian, and involvement in assault cases. The arrest operation was led by Town Station Sub-Inspectors Suraj and Manoj Kumar, along with ASI Rineesh Kumar and a team of senior civil police officers including Anoop, Praveen Kumar, Biju, Jaleel, and Rameshan. The accused was presented before the court and remanded in custody.
