Omassery: ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ഹാളിന്റെ പേരുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട്‌ CPM ശുദ്ധ നുണയാണ്‌ പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതെന്നും നിലവിലെ പേര്‌ മാറ്റാനുള്ള തീരുമാനം ഭരണസമിതിക്കില്ലെന്നും അത്തരത്തിലുള്ള പ്രചാരണം വാസ്തവ വിരുദ്ധവും ദുരുപദിഷ്ടവുമാണെന്നും പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ പ്രസിഡണ്ട്‌ പി.കെ.ഗംഗാധരൻ, വികസന സ്റ്റാന്റിംഗ്‌ കമ്മിറ്റി ചെയർമാൻ യൂനുസ്‌ അമ്പലക്കണ്ടി എന്നിവർ പത്രക്കുറിപ്പിൽ അറിയിച്ചു.
2007 മെയ്‌ 7 ലെ ഭരണസമിതി തീരുമാനപ്രകാരം കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ഹാളിന്‌ മാത്രമാണ്‌ അന്തരിച്ച മുൻ MLA മത്തായി ചാക്കോയുടെ പേര്‌ നൽകിയത്‌. പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ ഓഫീസ്‌ കെട്ടിടത്തിനല്ല. പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ ഓഫീസ്‌ കെട്ടിടത്തിലാണ്‌ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി ഹാളും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്‌. നിലവിൽ വാർഷിക പദ്ധതിയിലുൾപ്പെടുത്തി പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ ഓഫീസ്‌ കെട്ടിടത്തിന്റെ അകവും പുറവും നവീകരണ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ത്വരിത ഗതിയിൽ പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്‌. പ്രവൃത്തി തുടരുന്നതിനിടയിൽ അനാവശ്യ വിവാദമുണ്ടാക്കുന്നത്‌ ദുരുദ്ദേശ്യപരമാണ്‌. നിലവിലുള്ള പേര്‌ മാറ്റിയെന്ന് പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ച്‌ സമരകോലാഹലം നടത്തുന്നവർ മന:പൂർവ്വം വസ്തുതകൾ മറച്ചു വെക്കുകയയാണെന്ന് ഇരുവരും ആരോപിച്ചു.
ഒരു ഭരണസമിതി യോഗത്തിലെടുത്ത ഇത്തരമൊരു തീരുമാനം മാറ്റാൻ മാത്രം സങ്കുചിത്വമുള്ളവരല്ല നിലവിലെ ഭരണസമിതി. 2007 ലെ തീരുമാനം മാറ്റാനുള്ള യാതൊരു നീക്കവും ഭരണസമിതിയുടെ ഭാഗത്തു നിന്ന് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. ഇതാണ്‌ വസ്തുത. ഗ്രൂപ്പും ഉപഗ്രൂപ്പുകളുമായി ഭിന്നിച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്ന ഓമശ്ശേരിയിലെ അണികളെ വൈകാരികത പറഞ്ഞ്‌ ഒന്നിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള സി.പി.എമ്മിന്റെ വിഫലശ്രമമാണ്‌ ഇപ്പോൾ നടക്കുന്നത്‌. ഇതിനായി വർഗ്ഗീയത പോലും തരാതരം പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്‌ അത്യന്തം ഗൗരവതരവും പ്രതിഷേധാർഹവുമാണെന്ന് ഇരുവരും പറഞ്ഞു. യാഥാർത്ഥ്യം ഇതായിരിക്കെ ഇല്ലാക്കഥകൾ പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേട്ടം മാത്രമാണെന്നും ഈ കപടത തിരിച്ചറിയാനുള്ള പ്രബുദ്ധത ഓമശ്ശേരിയിലെ പൊതു ജനങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടെന്നും പി.കെ.ഗംഗാധരനും യൂനുസ്‌ അമ്പലക്കണ്ടിയും അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
Omassery: The claim being spread by CPM regarding the naming of the community hall is a complete lie, and the ruling committee has no intention of changing the existing name, stated Panchayat President P.K. Gangadharan and Development Standing Committee Chairman Yunus Ambalakkandi in a press release. They emphasized that such propaganda is baseless and misleading.
According to the governing committee’s decision on May 7, 2007, only the community hall was named after the late former MLA Mathai Chacko, not the Panchayat office building. The community hall functions within the Panchayat office building. Currently, renovation work is progressing rapidly on both the interior and exterior of the Panchayat office building as part of the annual development plan. They pointed out that creating unnecessary controversy while these works are ongoing is politically motivated. The claim that the existing name was changed and the resulting protests are being fueled by a deliberate misrepresentation of facts, they alleged.
The ruling committee is not narrow-minded enough to revoke a decision made in a previous governing body meeting. There has been no move from the committee’s side to reverse the 2007 decision. This is the truth. The CPM is trying to unite its fragmented supporters in Omassery by emotionally manipulating them with false claims. The fact that they are even resorting to spreading communal narratives is extremely serious and deserves strong opposition, they added.
While the reality is clear, those spreading false stories have only political gain in mind. However, the people of Omassery are aware of this deception, and they will not be misled, stated P.K. Gangadharan and Yunus Ambalakkandi.
