Omassery Puthur വെള്ളാരം ചാലിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന പാറച്ചാലിൽ ഇബ്രാഹിമിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള ഗ്രാൻഡർ എന്ന സ്ഥാപനത്തിലാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്. ഇന്നലെ ഉച്ചക്ക് രണ്ടോടെയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം. നിർമാണത്തിലിരുന്നതും പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചതുമായ അലമാരകൾ, കസേര, മേശ, കട്ടിലുകൾ, വിവിധ നിർമാണ സാമഗ്രികൾ തുടങ്ങിയവ കത്തിനശിച്ചു. നാല് ലക്ഷത്തോളം രൂപയുടെ നഷ്ടം സംഭവിച്ചതായി ഉടമ പറഞ്ഞു.
അവധി ദിവസമായതിനാൽ കടയിൽ ശുചീകരണം നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ കൂട്ടിയിട്ട് കത്തിച്ചപ്പോൾ മുകളിൽ കെട്ടിയിരുന്ന പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് നെറ്റിലേക്ക് തീപടർന്നു പിടിച്ചതാവാം എന്നാണ് പ്രാഥമിക നിഗമനം. Mukkam Assistant Station Officer ജോയ് എബ്രഹാമിൻ്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ എത്തിയ അഗ്നിരക്ഷാ സേന മുക്കാൽ മണിക്കൂറോളം പ്രയത്നിച്ചാണ് തീ പൂർണമായും അണച്ചത്.
Omassery: A massive fire caused extensive damage at a furniture manufacturing unit. The incident occurred at “Grander,” a business owned by Parachaalil Ibrahim, located at Puthur Vellaram Chaal. The fire broke out around 2 PM yesterday, destroying wardrobes, chairs, tables, beds, and various construction materials. The owner estimated a loss of approximately four lakh rupees.
As it was a holiday, cleaning work was carried out at the shop. The preliminary assumption is that waste materials were set on fire, which then spread to plastic nets stored above, causing the fire to escalate. A firefighting team led by Mukkam Assistant Station Officer Joy Abraham took nearly three hours to completely extinguish the flames.
