Kozhikode: നെടുമ്പാശ്ശേരി വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ ലഗേജിന് ഭാരം കൂടുതലാണല്ലോ എന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്റെ ചോദ്യത്തിന് ബോംബെന്ന് മറുപടി നൽകിയ യാത്രക്കാരൻ അറസ്റ്റിൽ. കോഴിക്കോട് സ്വദേശി റഷീദ് ആണ് അറസ്റ്റിലായത്. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രിയായിരുന്നു സംഭവം.
കൊച്ചിയിൽ നിന്ന് കോലാലമ്പൂരിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെടുന്ന Air India Express ന്റെ ബോർഡിങ് പാസ് അടക്കമുള്ള നടപടികൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ യാത്രക്കാരനോട് കസ്റ്റംസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ ലഗേജിന് ഭാരം കൂടുതലാണല്ലോ, എന്താണ് ഇത്ര ഭാരം എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു. ഇതിന് മറുപടിയായി ബോംബ് ആണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞതിന് പിന്നാലെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ നെടുമ്പാശ്ശേരി പൊലിസിനെ ഏൽപിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കസ്റ്റംസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരോട് അപമര്യാദയായി പെരുമാറി എന്നതിന്റെ പേരിൽ പൊലിസ് കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റർ ചെയ്‌തു. നിലവിൽ റഷീദിനെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്ത് അറസ്റ്റ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി വിട്ടയച്ചു.
Kozhikode: A passenger was arrested at Nedumbassery Airport after responding with “bomb” when asked about his overweight luggage by an airport official. The arrested individual has been identified as Rasheed, a native of Kozhikode. The incident occurred last night.
The passenger had completed all boarding procedures for an Air India Express flight to Kuala Lumpur when a customs officer questioned him about the excess weight of his luggage. In response, he jokingly said it contained a bomb. Following this statement, the officials immediately handed him over to Nedumbassery Police. A case was registered against him for misbehaving with customs officials. After being taken into custody and officially arrested, Rasheed was later released.
