Ramanattukara: ലഹരിക്കടത്തും ഉപയോഗവും തടയാൻ ആകാശക്കണ്ണുമായി പോലീസിന്റെ ഫറോക്ക് സബ്ഡിവിഷൻ ഡ്രോൺ നിരീക്ഷണം തുടങ്ങി. നിരീക്ഷണത്തിനിടെ നഗരമധ്യത്തിൽനിന്ന് 16 കഞ്ചാവ് ചെടികൾ കണ്ടെത്തി. ഒൻപതാം മൈൽസിൽ കണ്ടായി പെട്രോൾപമ്പിനു സമീപത്തെ ആളൊഴിഞ്ഞ പറമ്പിലാണ് കഞ്ചാവ് ചെടികൾ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.
രാമനാട്ടുകര ലോറിപാർക്കിങ് മേഖലകൾ, ബസ്‌സ്റ്റാൻഡ് പരിസരം, പെരുമുഖം റോഡിനോട് ചേർന്നുള്ള ആളൊഴിഞ്ഞ മേഖലകൾ, മേൽപ്പാലത്തിനു സമീപത്തുള്ള ഒഴിഞ്ഞപറമ്പുകൾ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലാണ് പരിശോധന നടത്തിയതെന്ന് അസി. കമ്മിഷണർ എ.എം. സിദ്ദീഖ് പറഞ്ഞു. ഫറോക്ക് ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ ടി.എസ്. ശ്രീജിത്ത്, SI മാരായ ആർ.എസ്. വിനയൻ, വർഷ മധു, സ്പെഷ്യൽ ബ്രാഞ്ച് SI പി.സി. സുജിത്ത്, ASI പ്രതീഷ്, CPO മാരായ, ശാന്തനു, സുകേഷ്, സുമേഷ്, മധുസൂദനൻ മണക്കടവ്, സനീഷ്, പ്രജിത്ത്, സ്പെഷ്യൽ ബ്രാഞ്ചിലെ ഡ്രോൺ സ്പെഷ്യലിസ്റ്റുമാരായ എം. സന്തോഷ്‌ കുമാർ, വി. വിപിൻദാസ് തുടങ്ങിയവരാണ് സംഘത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്.
Ramanattukara: Police drone surveillance detects 16 cannabis plants. To curb the smuggling and use of narcotics, the Feroke subdivision of the police in Ramanattukara has launched drone surveillance—an eye in the sky against drugs. During one such surveillance operation, 16 cannabis plants were discovered in an abandoned plot near a petrol pump in Onpatham Mile (9th Mile) in the town center.
Assistant Commissioner A.M. Siddique stated that inspections were carried out in areas such as the Ramanattukara lorry parking zones, bus stand premises, isolated regions near Perumukham road, and vacant lands around the overbridge.
The surveillance and inspection team included Feroke Inspector T.S. Sreejith, Sub-Inspectors R.S. Vinayan and Varsha Madhu, Special Branch SI P.C. Sujith, ASI Pratheesh, CPOs Shanthanu, Sukesh, Sumesh, Madhusoodanan Manakadav, Sanish, and Prajith. Drone specialists from the Special Branch, M. Santhosh Kumar and V. Vipindas, also played a key role in the operation.
