ചുരം സംരക്ഷണ സമിതി പ്രവർത്തകർ ക്യാമറ സ്ഥാപിക്കാൻ തയ്യാറുള്ള സ്വകാര്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളെ കണ്ടെത്തിയെങ്കിലും ഇതിന് അന്തിമ അനുമതി നൽകേണ്ട പുതുപ്പാടി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്ത് ഇതുവരെ അനുകൂല നിലപാട് സ്വീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്നും സന്നദ്ധ പ്രവർത്തകർ പറഞ്ഞു. ഏതാനും ആഴ്ചകൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് ചത്ത ആടുകളെ കൂട്ടമായി കൊക്കയിൽ തള്ളിയുരുന്നു.
Antisocial elements are dumping large amounts of waste at Thamarassery Churam, especially between the first bend and the viewpoint. Volunteers also reported that even dead animals had been dumped recently, raising serious environmental concerns.
