Koombara: പീടികപ്പാറ തേനരുവിൽ കാട്ടാന ആക്രമണം. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി തേനരുവി അബ്രാഹം ഏറ്റുമാനുക്കാരൻ്റെ വീട്ടുമുറ്റത്ത് നിർത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്ന ജീപ്പ് കാട്ടാന കുത്തി മറിച്ചിട്ടു ക്യഷിയും വ്യാപകമായി നശിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മാസങ്ങളായി ഇവിടെയും പരിസര പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും കാട്ടാനകൂട്ടം തമ്പടിച്ചിട്ടും ആനയെ തുരത്താൻ നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ വനം വകുപ്പ് തയ്യാറാകുന്നില്ല എന്ന് നാട്ടുകാർ ആരോപിച്ചു.
Koombara: Wild elephant attack at Thenaruvi, Peedikappara. Last night, a wild elephant overturned a jeep parked in the courtyard of the house belonging to Abraham Ettumanur at Thenaruvi and caused extensive damage to the crops as well. Residents alleged that despite a herd of elephants camping in the area and nearby regions for months, the Forest Department has not taken any steps to drive them away.
