Alappuzha: Cherthala യിലെ വീട്ടമ്മയുടെ ദുരൂഹ മരണത്തിൽ അന്വേഷണം ഊർജിതമാക്കി പൊലീസ്. കല്ലറ തുറന്ന് പുറത്തെടുത്ത സജിയുടെ മൃതദേഹം വണ്ടാനം Medical College ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ Postmortem നടത്തും. Postmortem ത്തിലെ കണ്ടെത്തലിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ആയിരിക്കും കൊലപാതക കുറ്റം ഉൾപ്പടെ ഉള്ള വകുപ്പുകൾ ചുമത്തുന്ന പൊലീസിന്റെ തുടർ നടപടികൾ. വീട്ടിലെ സ്റ്റെയർകേസിൽ നിന്ന് വീണു പരിക്ക് പറ്റി എന്നാണ് ഡോക്ടർമാരോട് പറഞ്ഞത്.
യാഥാർഥ്യം ഡോക്ടർമാരോട് പോലും പറയാത്തത് ചികിത്സയെ ബാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നും പൊലീസ് സംശയിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ആശുപത്രിയിൽ കൂട്ടിരിപ്പുകാരനായി മുഴുവൻ സമയവും ഭർത്താവ് സോണി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അച്ഛൻ അമ്മയെ ക്രൂരമായി മർദിച്ചതാണ് മരണത്തിലേക്ക് നയിച്ചതെന്ന മകളുടെ പരാതിയിൽ ആണ് പൊലീസ് അസ്വഭാവിക മരണത്തിന് കേസെടുത്ത് അന്വേഷണം നടത്തുന്നത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ജനുവരി എട്ടിന് ഗുരുതര പരിക്കുകളോടെ ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ച സജി ഞായറാഴ്ചയാണ് മരിച്ചത്. സംസ്കകാര ചടങ്ങുകൾക്ക് ശേഷമാണ് മകൾ അച്ഛനെതിരെ പരാതി നൽകിയത്. സോണിയുടെ സ്ത്രീ സൗഹൃദങ്ങൾ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തതിനായിരുന്നു സജിയെ ക്രൂരമായി മർദ്ദിച്ചതെന്നാണ് പരാതിയിൽ പറയുന്നത്.
Alappuzha: The police have intensified their investigation into the mysterious death of a housewife in Cherthala. The body of Saji, which was exhumed, will undergo a post-mortem examination this morning at Vandanam Medical College Hospital. Further police action, including the possibility of charging for murder, will be based on the post-mortem findings.
It was initially reported to doctors that she had sustained injuries from a fall down the staircase. The police suspect that withholding the truth from the doctors might have affected her treatment. Her husband, Sony, was present at the hospital as a full-time attendant.
The police registered a case of unnatural death and began an investigation following a complaint from their daughter, who alleged that her father had brutally assaulted her mother, leading to her death. Saji was admitted to the hospital with severe injuries on January 8 and passed away on Sunday. After the funeral, the daughter filed a complaint against her father. The complaint states that Sony severely assaulted Saji after she questioned him about his alleged relationships with other women.
