Adivaram: A porter was injured in an attack by a drug mafia. The victim has been identified as Mustafa from Pottikkayil, Adivaram. The attack took place amidst efforts to establish an anti-drug coalition in Adivaram to resist drug mafias. The incident follows a night patrol led by Mustafa against drug activities, during which he and his team confronted Shihab, a resident of Kunthalamther, along with a group of youths who were found in a suspicious situation. Allegedly, as an act of revenge, Shihab hit Mustafa with his vehicle at Adivaram today. Locals claim that the accused is addicted to drugs. A complaint has been filed with the police regarding the incident. In response to the attack, the anti-drug coalition has announced a protest march and a public meeting in Adivaram tomorrow.
