Kozhikode: കോവൂരിൽ ഓടയിൽ വീണ് കാണാതായ ശശിയുടെ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തി. പാലാഴി റോഡ് സൈഡിലെ ഓടയിലാണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. നാട്ടുകാരാണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടത്. പൊലീസ് സംഘം സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി. ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി എട്ടരയോടെയാണ് കോവൂരില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്ന കളത്തിന്‍പൊയില്‍ ശശി ഓടയില്‍ വീണത്. കോവൂര്‍ MLA റോഡില്‍ ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പില്‍ ഇരിക്കുകയായിരുന്ന ശശി.
അബദ്ധത്തില്‍ കാല്‍ വഴുതി ഓവുചാലില്‍ വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു. വീടിന് തൊട്ടടുത്ത് വെച്ചാണ് അപകടം സംഭവിച്ചത്. ശക്തമായ മഴയായതിനാല്‍ ഓവുചാലില്‍ വെള്ളം കുത്തിയൊലിക്കുന്ന നിലയിലായിരുന്നു. ആദ്യം നാട്ടുകാരും പിന്നീട് ബീച്ചില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഫയര്‍ ഫോഴ്സ് യൂണിറ്റും ഓടയില്‍ രണ്ടരക്കിലോമീറ്ററോളം ദൂരം തെരച്ചില്‍ നടത്തിയിട്ടും ശശിയെ കണ്ടെത്താന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. പുലർച്ചെ രണ്ടുമണിവരെ തെരച്ചില്‍ നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇന്ന് രാവിലെയും തിരിച്ചിൽ തുടരുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടത്.
Kozhikode: The body of Sashi, who went missing after falling into a drain in Kovoor, has been found. The body was discovered in a roadside drain near Palazzi. Locals were the first to spot the body, following which the police arrived at the scene.
Sashi, a resident of Kalanthinpoyil, fell into the drain last night around 8:30 PM while sitting at the bus stop on Kovoor MLA Road. He accidentally slipped and fell into the water channel near his house. Due to heavy rainfall, the drain had strong water currents, making the situation more dangerous.
Initially, locals searched for him, followed by a fire force unit from the beach area, who combed approximately 2.5 km of the drain but could not locate him. The search continued until 2 AM. It was during the resumed search this morning that the body was finally recovered.
