Kozhikode: രണ്ടു ദിവസം മുമ്പ് കാണാതായ വ്യാപാരിയെ പുഴയിൽ മരിച്ച നിലയിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി. വ്യാപാരി വ്യവസായി ഏകോപന സമിതി സൗത്ത് നിയോജക മണ്ഡലം വൈസ് പ്രസിഡൻ്റും തളി-പാളയം യൂനിറ്റ് ജനറൽ സെക്രട്ടറിയുമായ ചാലപ്പുറം പരിഷത് ഭവന് സമീപം ശ്രീവത്സത്തിൽ ജി. വെങ്കിടേഷ് (60) ആണ് മരിച്ചത്. പാളയത്ത് വ്യാപാരിയായിരുന്നു.
വെങ്കിടേഷിനെ കാണാനില്ലെന്ന് കാണിച്ച് കുടുംബം നേരത്തെ പൊലീസിൽ പരാതി നൽകിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിനിടെയാണ് ബുധനാഴ്ച രാവിലെ കല്ലായിപ്പുഴയിൽ നിന്ന് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. പൊലീസ് കേസെടുത്ത് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു. സഹോദരങ്ങൾ: ജയശ്രീ, സരോജ, ശുഭലക്ഷ്മി.
Kozhikode: A businessman who had been missing for two days was found dead in the river. The deceased has been identified as G. Venkitesh (60), Vice President of the South Constituency of the Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi and General Secretary of the Thali-Palayam unit. He was a resident of Sreevalsam near Parishath Bhavan, Chalappuram, and was engaged in business in Palayam.
His family had earlier lodged a missing person complaint with the police. On Wednesday morning, his body was recovered from the Kallayi river. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation. Siblings: Jayasree, Saroj, and Shubhalakshmi.
