Meppadi: സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രി പരിസരത്ത് കഞ്ചാവ് വില്‍ക്കുന്ന സ്ഥിരം വില്‍പ്പനക്കാരനെ പിടികൂടി. മൂപ്പൈനാട്, താഴെ അരപ്പറ്റ, ശശി നിവാസ്, രഞ്ജിത്ത് ശശി(24)യെയാണ് ജില്ലാ പോലീസ് മേധാവിയുടെ ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ സ്‌ക്വാഡും മേപ്പാടി പോലീസും ചേര്‍ന്ന് പിടികൂടിയത്. ഇയാള്‍ കണ്ണൂര്‍ ടൗണ്‍ സ്‌റ്റേഷനില്‍ കവര്‍ച്ച കേസിലും, മേപ്പാടി സ്‌റ്റേഷനില്‍ കഞ്ചാവ് കേസിലും, മോഷണ കേസിലും, പോക്‌സോ കേസിലും ഉൾപ്പെട്ടയളാണ്.
21.03.2025 തീയതി രാത്രി വിംസ് ആശുപത്രി പാര്‍ക്കിങ്ങിന് സമീപം വെച്ച് നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് ഇയാള്‍ വലയിലാകുന്നത്. പോലീസിനെ കണ്ട് പരിഭ്രമിച്ച് വേഗത്തില്‍ നടന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ച ഇയാളുടെ സഞ്ചിയില്‍ നിന്നാണ് കഞ്ചാവ് കണ്ടെടുത്തത്. 412.4 ഗ്രാം കഞ്ചാവ് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു. 9 വലിയ പാക്കറ്റുകളിലും, 12 ചെറിയ പാക്കറ്റുകളിലും വില്‍പ്പനക്കായി സൂക്ഷിച്ച നിലയിലായിരുന്നു കഞ്ചാവ്. SI മാരായ ഷറഫുദ്ദീന്‍, വരുണ്‍, സി.പി.ഒ ജബ്ലു റഹ്മാന്‍, ഡ്രൈവര്‍ എസ്.സി.പി.ഒ ഷാജഹാന്‍ എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പോലീസ് സംഘമാണ് രഞ്ജിത്തിനെ പിടികൂടിയത്.
Meppadi: Regular Cannabis Dealer Arrested Near Private Hospital. Meppadi police, along with the district police chief’s anti-drug squad, arrested a regular cannabis dealer near a private hospital. The arrested individual is Ranjith Sashi (24), a resident of Sashi Nivas, Thazhe Arapetta, Muppainad.
Ranjith has previous cases against him, including a robbery case at Kannur Town Station, a cannabis case, a theft case at Meppadi Station, and a POCSO case.
The arrest took place on the night of March 21, 2025, near the parking area of Wins Hospital. During a routine check, police noticed him behaving suspiciously and trying to escape. Upon searching his bag, authorities recovered 412.4 grams of cannabis, stored in 9 large packets and 12 small packets, intended for sale.
The police team led by SIs Sharafuddin and Varun, along with CPO Jablu Rahman and driver SCPO Shajahan, successfully apprehended the accused.
