അന്ന് കൃത്യമായ നടപടി എടുത്തിരുന്നുവെങ്കില്‍ ഇന്ന് ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു സംഭവം നടക്കുമായിരുന്നില്ല എന്നാണ് നാട്ടുകാര്‍ പ്രതികരിച്ചത്. അവനിങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് കരുതിയില്ല എന്നാണ് പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയുടെ അമ്മ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് പറയുന്നത്. പ്രദീപിനെ സംശയമുണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. മകള്‍ക്ക് എന്താണ് സംഭവിച്ചതെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തണം എന്നാണ് അമ്മ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നത്. കഴിഞ്ഞമാസം 12നാണ് പ്രദീപിനെയും പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയെയും കാണാതായത്.
കര്‍ണാകയിലെ പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയുടേയും പരിചയക്കാരിലൂടെയും ബന്ധുക്കളിലൂടെയും തിരച്ചിലില്‍ ഊര്‍ജിതമാക്കി. പൈവളിഗെയിലെ വീടും പരിസരവും കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചുള്ള അന്വേഷണവും പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കര്‍ണാടകയിലേക്ക് ഇരുവരും പോയിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് ഉറപ്പിച്ചതോടെയാണ് വീടിന്‍റെ പരിസരത്ത് കൂടുതല്‍ ആളുകളെ എത്തിച്ച് കര്‍ശനമായ പരിശോധന പൊലീസ് ആരംഭിച്ചത്. ഈ തിരച്ചിലിലാണ് വീടിന് സമീപത്തെ തോട്ടത്തില്‍ തൂങ്ങിമരിച്ച നിലയില്‍ മൃതദേഹങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.
Kasaragod: A 15-year-old girl and her 42-year-old neighbor, Pradeep, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Paivalike, Kasaragod. The bodies were discovered hanging in a plantation, around 200 meters from the girl’s house. At the scene, police found chocolates, a knife, and a broken mobile phone, both phones being switched off.
Pradeep had earlier been accused of suspicious behavior, as locals had seen him frequently taking the girl in his car. A complaint was filed at the girl’s school, and Childline intervened, but later, under pressure, the girl’s parents withdrew the complaint, with Pradeep claiming they were just friends.
Now, locals criticize the police for failing to act in time, believing that the tragedy could have been prevented. The girl’s grieving mother insists on a full investigation into her daughter’s death.
Both individuals had gone missing on the 12th of last month. That same day, Pradeep sent over 50 photos of himself and the girl to a relative in Karnataka, taken at different locations. This led the police to suspect they were together.
A joint investigation with Karnataka police confirmed they had not left the area. As a result, the search intensified around their homes, ultimately leading to the discovery of their bodies. The case remains under investigation to determine the exact circumstances of their deaths.
