Perambra: A complaint has been filed alleging that a youth was assaulted without reason by a four-member gang in Kayanna, Perambra. The victim has been identified as Saneesh (35) from Edatthumbazha, Kayanna. The complaint has been filed against Koyalamkandi Akhil, Kuruppamveettil Ratheesh, Mannamkandi Pratheesh, and Bashir from Kayanna.
The incident occurred on Sunday night while Saneesh was returning home after attending a program organized by the Kayanna Velicham Residents Association. While he was on his way to pick up his vehicle from a friend’s house, the accused allegedly stopped him and assaulted him as a group. Saneesh sustained injuries to his head and ear and sought treatment at Perambra Taluk Hospital. Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case and started an investigation.
