Kozhikode Medical College പാർക്കിങ് ഏരിയയിൽ നിന്നാണ് യാസിർ പിടിയിലായത്. ആക്രമണത്തിനുശേഷം രക്ഷപ്പെട്ട കാറിൽത്തന്നെയാണ് ഇയാൾ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിലെത്തിയത്. കാറിന്റെ നമ്പർ പോലീസ് പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇയാൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പോലീസ് വ്യാപകതിരച്ചിൽ നടത്തിവരികയായിരുന്നു. നാട്ടുകാരാണ് ഇയാളെ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ് പിടികൂടിയത്. തുടർന്ന് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് പോലീസെത്തി കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
