Kodancherry: കാണാതായ മംഗലത്ത് വീട്ടിൽ ജാനുവിന് (79) വേണ്ടി ഏഴാം ദിവസമായ ഇന്ന് നടത്തിയ തിരച്ചിൽ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തി. അഞ്ചു ദിവസമായി കോടഞ്ചേരിയിൽ നിന്നും കാണാതായ ജാനുവേട്ടത്തിയെ തിരയുന്ന ആളുകളുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷകൾക്ക് മങ്ങൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് മൃതദേഹം ലഭിച്ചു. ഇന്നലെ പൊട്ടൻകോട് ചവിട്ടിയാനി മലയിൽ ജനുവേട്ടത്തി കാണാതായപ്പോൾ ധരിച്ച വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ കണ്ടത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഒരു മരക്കൊമ്പിൽ ഉണങ്ങാൻ ഇട്ട നിലയിൽ കണ്ട വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ ജനുവേട്ടത്തിടെ ആണെന്ന് മക്കൾ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു.
ഈ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ കണ്ടത്തിയതിന്റെ പരിസര പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ വാർഡ് മെമ്പർ ചാൾസ് തയ്യിലിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഇന്നലെ രാവിലേ 10 മണിക്ക് ആരംഭിച്ച തിരച്ചിലിൽ കോടഞ്ചേരി പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ, ബാലുശ്ശേരി ഡോഗ് സ്‌ക്വാഡ്, ഫോറെസ്റ്റ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ, കല്ലുരുട്ടിയിൽ നിന്ന് വന്ന സന്നദ്ധ പ്രവർത്തകർ, വലിയ കൊല്ലി പൊട്ടൻകോട് മഞ്ഞുവയൽ പ്രദേശത്തുള്ള അമ്പതോളം നാട്ടുകാരും വൈകുന്നേരം വരെ തിരഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും ജനുവേട്ടത്തിനെ കണ്ടെത്താനായില്ല. മാർച്ച് ഒന്ന് ശനിയാഴ്ച വൈകിട്ട് മുതൽ കാണാതായ മംഗലത്ത് വീട്ടിൽ ജാനുവിന് വേണ്ടി അഞ്ചാം ദിവസമായ ഇന്ന് നടത്തിയ തിരച്ചിൽ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.
കാണാതായപ്പോൾ ധരിച്ച ഈ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ കണ്ടത്തിയതിന്റെ 100 മീറ്റർ അകലെ വച്ചാണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി വാർഡ് മെമ്പർ ചാൾസ് തയ്യിലിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ബാലുശ്ശേരി ഡോഗ് സ്‌ക്വാഡ്, ഫോറെസ്റ്റ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ, വാഹനങ്ങൾ കയറുവാൻ പ്രയാസമുള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ഓഫ് റോഡ് വാഹനവുമായി കെ എൽ 11 ഓഫ് റോഡ് ക്ലബ്ബ് അംഗം ജിയോ മെൽവിൻ ആയത്തുപാടത്ത്, കല്ലുരുട്ടിയിൽ നിന്ന് വന്ന സന്നദ്ധ പ്രവർത്തകർ, എന്റെ മുക്കം,വലിയ കൊല്ലി, പൊട്ടൻകോട് മഞ്ഞുവയൽ പ്രദേശം ജനങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും തിരച്ചിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നു. ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ നടത്തിയ തിരച്ചിലിൽ ആണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.
Kodancherry: The body of 79-year-old Janu, who had been missing for the past seven days, was found today. The discovery shattered the hopes of those tirelessly searching for her since she went missing five days ago from Kodancherry. Yesterday, her clothes were found in Pottankode Chavittiyani Mala, where she was last seen. Her children confirmed the identity of the clothes, which were found drying on a tree branch.
Following this discovery, a search operation led by Ward Member Charles Thayyil began yesterday at 10 AM, involving Kodancherry police officers, the Balussery Dog Squad, forest officials, volunteers from Kallurutti, and around fifty local residents from Valiya Kolli, Pottankode, and Manjuvayal. Despite their relentless efforts, the search did not yield any results until today.
The breakthrough came during today’s search, when the body was discovered 100 meters away from where her clothes had been found. Over the past few days, the Balussery Dog Squad, forest officials, off-road vehicle expert Jeo Melvin Ayyathupadath from KL 11 Off-Road Club, volunteers from Kallurutti, and local residents from Mukkam, Valiya Kolli, Pottankode, and Manjuvayal actively participated in the search.
Finally, this morning, the search team successfully located Janu’s body, bringing a tragic end to the intense rescue efforts.
