Thamarassery: 222 കോടി രൂപ ചിലവഴിച്ച് നവീകരിച്ച Koyilandy – Thamarassery – Edavanna സംസ്ഥാന പാതയിൽ ഭാരം കയറ്റിയ വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ ടയർ പതിയുന്ന ഭാഗം താഴ്ന്ന് പോകുകയും, ഇരുചക്രവാഹനങ്ങളും, ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷകളും നിയന്ത്രണം വിടുന്നത് പതിവാകുകയും ചെയ്ത സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ പൊതുമരാമത്ത് വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രിക്കും, ചീഫ് എഞ്ചിനിയർക്കും ലഭിച്ച പരാതിയെ തുടർന്നാണ് റോഡിൽ പരിശോധന നടത്താനായി പൊതുമരാമത്ത് വിജിലൻസ് ക്വാളിറ്റി കൺട്രോൾ വിഭാഗം തീരുമാനിച്ചത്. ഇതിനായി വിജിലൻസ് സംഘം നാളെ രാവിലെ 11 മണിക്ക് താമരശ്ശേരി ചുങ്കത്ത് എത്തിച്ചേരും.
Mukkam കറുത്ത പറമ്പ് മുതൽ കൊയിലാണ്ടി വരെയുള്ള ഭാഗത്താണ് റോഡിൻ്റെ ഒരു ഭാഗത്ത് ടിപ്പർ ലോറികളുടെ ടയർ പതിയുന്ന ഭാഗം താഴ്ന പോയത്. പ്രാദേശിക മാധ്യമ പ്രവർത്തകനായ മജീദ് താമരശ്ശേരി നൽകിയ പരാതിയെ തുടർന്നാണ് പരിശോധന.
Thamarassery: After spending ₹222 crore on renovating the Koyilandy – Thamarassery – Edavanna State Highway, parts of the road where heavy vehicles’ tires pass have started sinking, causing frequent loss of control for two-wheelers and autorickshaws. Following complaints received by the Public Works Department Minister and the Chief Engineer, the Public Works Vigilance Quality Control team has decided to conduct an inspection. The vigilance team will arrive at Thamarassery junction tomorrow at 11 AM for the inspection.
The sinking occurred on the stretch of the road from Karutha Parambu in Mukkam to Koyilandy, mainly where tipper lorries frequently travel. The inspection was prompted by a complaint from local journalist Majeed Thamarassery.
