Kozhikode: രാമനാട്ടുകര-വെങ്ങളം ആറുവരിപ്പാത പ്രവൃത്തിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി മലാപ്പറമ്പ് ജങ്ഷനിലെ അടിപ്പാതയുടെ ഒരുഭാഗം തുറന്നു കൊടുത്തു. കണ്ണൂർ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട് ഭാഗത്തേക്കാണ് ഞായറാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 11 മണിയോടെ വാഹനങ്ങൾക്കായി തുറന്നുകൊടുത്തത്. ടാറിങ്ങടക്കം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ തുറന്നത്.
മൂന്നുവരിപ്പാതയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാണ് ഇപ്പോൾ പൂർത്തിയായത്. ഇതിലെ ഒരു വരിയിലൂടെ കോഴിക്കോട്ടുനിന്ന് കണ്ണൂർ ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച വാഹനങ്ങൾക്കായി തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കും. എന്നാൽ മാത്രമേ അടുത്ത മൂന്നുവരി ഭാഗത്തെ സർവീസ് റോഡിനായി മണ്ണെടുക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുകയുള്ളൂ.
അടുത്ത മൂന്നുവരിപ്പാതയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി പൂർത്തീകരിച്ച് ഒരുമാസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കുമെന്ന് അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അടിപ്പാതയുടെ ഒരുഭാഗം തുറന്നതോടുകൂടി മലാപ്പറമ്പ് ജങ്ഷനിലെ ഗതാഗതക്കുരുക്കിന് ചെറിയൊരു പരിഹാരമുണ്ടാകുമെന്നാണ് അധികൃതർ കരുതുന്നത്.
ഇനി തുറക്കാനുള്ളത് കോരപ്പുഴ, അറപ്പുഴ പാലങ്ങളാണ്. അറപ്പുഴ പാലത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി പൂർത്തിയായിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ, ലോഡ് ടെസ്റ്റ് നടക്കാനുള്ളതിനാലാണ് വാഹനങ്ങൾ കടത്തിവിടാത്തത്. അത് എത്രയുംപെട്ടെന്ന് പൂർത്തിയാക്കും. എന്നാൽ, കോരപ്പുഴ മേയ് 15-നുള്ളിൽ തുറന്നുകൊടുക്കുമെന്നും കൺസ്‌ട്രക്‌ഷൻ കമ്പനിയായ KMC അധികൃതർ അറിയിച്ചു.
Kozhikode: As part of the six-lane road construction from Ramanattukara to Vengalam, one side of the Malaparamba Junction underpass has been opened to traffic. Vehicles from the Kannur side to the Kozhikode side were allowed to use the underpass from around 11 a.m. on Sunday. The section was opened after completing the tarring and related works.
The work on a three-lane stretch has been completed so far. One lane of this stretch will be opened on Tuesday for vehicles traveling from Kozhikode to Kannur. Only after this will soil removal for the service road along the remaining three-lane stretch be possible.
Officials have stated that the remaining three-lane portion of the underpass will be completed and opened within a month. The partial opening of the underpass is expected to offer some relief to the traffic congestion at Malaparamba Junction.
The next structures awaiting opening are the Korappuzha and Arappuzha bridges. The construction of the Arappuzha bridge has been completed, but it has not been opened to traffic yet as the load test is pending. This is expected to be completed soon. Meanwhile, the Korappuzha bridge will be opened by May 15, according to officials from the construction company KMC.
