Kozhikode: കോഴിക്കോട് ബീച്ചില്‍ വെച്ച് പോലീസുകാരനെ ആക്രമിച്ച നേപ്പാള്‍ സ്വദേശികള്‍ പിടിയിലായി. ബിഷ്ണുകുമാര്‍ (23), രൂപേഷ് കുമാര്‍ (20) എന്നിവരെയാണ് വെള്ളയില്‍ പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസമാണ് കേസിനാസ്പദമായ സംഭവം നടന്നത്. പ്രതികള്‍ ബീറ്റ് ഡ്യൂട്ടി ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്ന പോലീസുകാരന്‍റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ക്യത്യ നിര്‍വ്വഹണം തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ആക്രമിക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു.
ബീച്ച് ലയണ്‍സ് പാര്‍ക്കിന് സമീപം വെച്ച് എലത്തൂര്‍ കോസ്റ്റല്‍ പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ സിവില്‍ പൊലീസ് ഓഫീസര്‍ ജുബിനാണ് ആക്രമിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. തുടര്‍ന്ന് വെള്ളയില്‍ പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷന്‍ എസ്‌ഐയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള സംഘം ഇരുവരെയും കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരാക്കിയ ബിഷ്ണുകുമാറിനെയും രൂപേഷിനെയും 14 ദിവസത്തേക്ക് റിമാന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്തു.
Kozhikode: Two Nepali nationals who assaulted a police officer at Kozhikode beach have been arrested. The accused, Bishnu Kumar (23) and Rupesh Kumar (20), were taken into custody by Vellayil Police. The incident that led to the case occurred recently, where the accused obstructed and attacked a police officer who was on beat duty.
The assaulted officer, Jubin, a Civil Police Officer from Elathur Coastal Police Station, was attacked near Beach Lions Park. Following the incident, a team led by the Sub-Inspector of Vellayil Police Station took both individuals into custody. They were later presented before the court and remanded for 14 days.
