Kozhikode: കാരപ്പറമ്പ് മെയ്ത്ര-എടക്കാട് റോഡിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം തെന്നിവീണത് ഏഴ് ബൈക്കുകളാണ്. പലർക്കും സാരമായി പരിക്കേൽക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. മഴയാണ് വില്ലനെന്ന് ആദ്യം കരുതിയെങ്കിലും നാട്ടുകാർക്ക് പിന്നീട് മനസ്സിലായി വില്ലൻ മറ്റൊരാളാണെന്ന്. റോഡിലുടനീളം വീണുകിടന്ന ഞാവൽപ്പഴമായിരുന്നു യഥാർഥ വില്ലൻ.റോഡരികിലെ മരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വൻതോതിൽ ഞാവൽപ്പഴം റോഡിലേക്ക് വീണിരുന്നു. മഴപെയ്യുകയും ഒപ്പം വാഹനങ്ങൾ കയറിയിറങ്ങി ഞാവൽപ്പഴ അവശിഷ്ടം റോഡിലാകെ നിറയുകയും ചെയ്തതോടെയാണ് ബൈക്കുകൾ ഒന്നൊന്നായി തെന്നിവീഴാൻ തുടങ്ങിയത്. പിന്നീട്, നാട്ടുകാർ അറിയിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ഫയർഫോഴ്സ് എത്തിയാണ് ഞാവൽപ്പഴ അവശിഷ്ടങ്ങൾ റോഡിൽ നിന്ന് നീക്കിയത്.
Kozhikode: Seven bikes skidded and fell on the Karaparamba Meitra-Edakkad road the other day. Several people sustained serious injuries. Initially, rain was thought to be the culprit, but later locals realized that the real cause was something else.
It was the jamun fruits (njaval pazham) scattered all over the road that caused the accidents. A large quantity of jamun had fallen from a tree beside the road. As rain fell and vehicles ran over the fruits, the road became extremely slippery, leading to one bike after another skidding and crashing.
Following reports from locals, the fire force arrived and cleared the jamun remains from the road.
