Thiruvananthapuram: മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിൽ പരിശോധനയ്ക്കായി എത്തിച്ച ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങൾ ആക്രിക്കാരൻ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു. പരിശോധനയ്ക്കായി ലാബിൽ എത്തിച്ച സാമ്പിളുകളാണ് മോഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. സാമ്പിളുകൾ കാണാതായതോടെ ജീവനക്കാർ നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് ആക്രിക്കാരൻ മോഷ്ടിച്ചതായി മനസ്സിലാക്കിയത്.
പരിശോധനയിൽ ഇയാളിൽ നിന്നും സാമ്പിളുകൾ കണ്ടെടുത്തു. 17 രോഗികളുടെ ശരീര ഭാഗങ്ങളാണ് ആക്രിക്കാരന്റെ കൈയില്‍ നിന്ന് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഇയാളെ പോലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തു. ആക്രിക്കാരനെ പൊലീസ് വിശദമായി ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ നടത്തിയവരുടെ രോഗ നിര്‍ണയം നടത്തുന്നതിനാണ് സ്‌പെസിമെനുകള്‍ പരിശോധനക്കയക്കുന്നത്. ഇന്നലെ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കിയ രോഗികളുടെ ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങളായിരുന്നു ഇന്ന് അയച്ചത്. ഇതാണ് മോഷണം പോയത്. ആംബുലന്‍സില്‍ ഡ്രൈവറും ആശുപത്രിയിലെ ഒരു ജീവനക്കാരനുമാണ് പരിശോധനക്കായി ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങള്‍ കൊണ്ടുപോകാറുള്ളത്.
പതിവുപോലെ പരിശോധനക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് മോഷണ വിവരം അറിഞ്ഞത്. ഉടന്‍ പൊലീസില്‍ വിവരം അറിയിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ശരീരഭാഗങ്ങളാണെന്നറിയാതെയാണ് മോഷ്ടിച്ചതെന്നാണ് പ്രഥമിക വിവരം. സ്‌പെസിമെനുകള്‍ എങ്ങനെ ആക്രിക്കാരന് കിട്ടിയെന്നതില്‍ ദുരൂഹത തുടരുകയാണ്.
Thiruvananthapuram: A shocking incident occurred at the Medical College where body parts sent for examination were stolen by a scrap dealer. The stolen samples were meant for laboratory testing. Hospital staff discovered the theft during an internal inspection after noticing the samples were missing.
Upon investigation, the samples were recovered from the scrap dealer. Seventeen patients’ body parts were found in his possession. The police have taken the suspect into custody and are interrogating him in detail.
The specimens were sent for diagnostic purposes after surgeries. The body parts of patients who underwent surgery yesterday were scheduled for testing today but were stolen. The ambulance driver and a hospital staff member are usually responsible for transporting the specimens for examination.
The theft was discovered while the samples were being transported. Authorities immediately informed the police. Initial reports suggest that the scrap dealer was unaware that the stolen items were human body parts. However, questions remain regarding how the specimens ended up in his possession, and investigations are ongoing.
