Koodathayi: Protest Against Fresh Cut Poultry Waste Disposal Enters 10th Day. A public protest led by the Iruthulli River Protection Committee against the unbearable stench and pollution caused by waste disposal from the Fresh Cut Poultry Waste Processing Plant in Irachipara, Kattippara Panchayat, has entered its 10th day at the protest tent in Koodathayi Ambalamukku. In solidarity, the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES) Koodathayi Unit Committee organized a march to the protest site.
Pushpakaran Nandans presided over the event, while KVVES Koodathayi Unit President A.K. Kadhiri Haji inaugurated the solidarity march. The keynote speech was delivered by Unit General Secretary Sattar Purayil. St. Mary’s High School, Koodathayi teacher Sudhesh V., Anil Master, and V.K. Imbichi Moyi also addressed the gathering. Leaders including Ibrahim V.C., K.V. Yusuf, Majeed K.P., Ibrahim K.P., Pratheesh P.P., Navas M., Moitheen K.K., Jayachandran, and Manu Kuriakose led the rally from Koodathayi to Ambalamukku. Protest Committee Treasurer Mujeeb Kunnath Kandi welcomed the attendees, and Ajmal A.K. delivered the vote of thanks.
