മൂന്ന് പേരടങ്ങുന്ന പോലീസ് സംഘമാണ് പ്രതിയെ പിടികൂടാനെത്തിയത്. വിപിൻ എന്ന പോലീസുകാരൻ കുറച്ച് ദൂരെ ആയിരുന്നതിനാൽ വെട്ടേൽക്കാതെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു.
Mukkam: Police officers who arrived to arrest a theft case suspect were attacked with a machete at Karassery, Mukkam. The accused, Arshad, a native of Valiyaparambu in Karassery, injured the officers during the arrest attempt. He is the suspect in a car theft case reported from Kalpetta, Wayanad.
The incident occurred around 3:30 PM at the suspect’s house. Members of the Wayanad SP’s special squad were the ones attacked. CPOs Shalu and Noufal sustained injuries, both on their hands. They were admitted to Mukkam KMCT Medical College for treatment. Mukkam police also arrived at the scene following the incident.
A three-member police team had gone to arrest the suspect. Another officer, Vipin, who was at some distance from the others during the incident, escaped without injury.
