Mukkam: തോട്ടുമുക്കം കക്കാടംപൊയിൽ റൂട്ടിൽ കോനൂർ കണ്ടിയിൽ നിന്ന് എക്സൈസ് സംഘം 10.160 കിലോഗ്രാം കഞ്ചാവ് പിടികൂടി. എക്സൈസ് കമ്മീഷണറുടെ ഉത്തരമേഖല സ്‌ക്വോഡും മലപ്പുറം ഇൻറലിജൻസ് വിങ്ങും മഞ്ചേരി എക്സൈസ് റേഞ്ച് ഓഫീസും ചേർന്ന് കൂനൂർക്കണ്ടി ഭാഗത്ത് നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയിലാണ് രണ്ട് ചാക്കുകളിലായി സ്കൂട്ടറിൽ കടത്തുകയായിരുന്ന കഞ്ചാവ് പിടികൂടിയത്.
ഊർങ്ങാട്ടിരി പൂവത്തിങ്ങൽ അമ്മോൻ കല്ലൻ വീട്ടിൽ മുഹ്സിൻ, വെറ്റിലപ്പാറ കിണറടപ്പൻ ഷരൺ എന്നിവരാണ് പിടിയിലായത്. കഞ്ചാവ് കടത്താൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് സ്കൂട്ടറും 17.600 രൂപയും പിടിച്ചെടുത്തു. നിലമ്പൂർ എക്സൈസ് സർക്കിൾ ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ മുഹമ്മദ് ഷഫീഖ് മലപ്പുറം ഐ ബി ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ ടി ഷാജുമോൻ മഞ്ചേരി റേഞ്ചിങ് ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ വി നൗഷാദ് എന്നിവരുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നു പരിശോധന. പിടിയിലായവരെ മഞ്ചേരി ഫസ്റ്റ് ക്ലാസ് മജിസ്ട്രേറ്റ് കോടതി റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തു.
In Mukkam, the Excise team seized 10.160 kilograms of cannabis from two individuals. The cannabis was being transported in two bags on a scooter from the Koonoor Kandi area. The operation was carried out by the Excise Commissioner’s special squad, Mampuram Intelligence Wing, and the Mankery Excise Range Office.
The arrested individuals are Muhsin, from Oorangattiri Poovathungal Ammon Kallan’s house, and Sharon from Vettilappara Kinaradappan. Along with the cannabis, the scooter and Rs. 17,600 in cash were seized.
The inspection was led by Nilambur Excise Circle Inspector Mohammed Shafiq, Mampuram IB Inspector T Shajumon, and Mankery Range Inspector V Naushad. The arrested individuals have been remanded by the Mankery First-Class Magistrate Court.
