Omassery: താമരശ്ശേരി- മുക്കം സംസ്ഥാന പാതയിൽ ഓമശ്ശേരിക്ക് സമീപം മുടൂരിൽ നിയന്ത്രണം വിട്ട സ്കൂട്ടർ മതിലിൽ ഇടിച്ച് മറിഞ്ഞ് ഒരാൾ മരിച്ചു. കൂടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബന്ധുവിന് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റു. മുടൂരിലെ ക്രഷർ ജീവനക്കാരനായ ബീഹാർ സ്വദേശി ബീട്ടുവാണ് മരിച്ചത്.
ഇന്ന് ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് രണ്ടു മണിയോടെയായിരുന്നു അപകടം. ഇരുവരും മദ്യലഹരിയിലായിരുന്നുവെന്നാണ് വിവരം. കൂടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ബന്ധുവും മങ്ങാട് ക്രഷറിലെ ജീവനക്കാരനുമായ ബീഹാർ സ്വദേശി ശരവണിൻ്റെ നില അതീവ ഗുരുതരമാണ്. ബീട്ടുവിൻ്റെ മൃതദേഹം കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രി മോർച്ചറിയിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
Omassery: One person died and another was seriously injured after a scooter lost control and crashed into a wall near Mudoor on the Thamarassery-Mukkam state highway near Omassery.
The deceased has been identified as Beethu, a native of Bihar and an employee at a local crusher in Mudoor. The accident occurred around 2 PM today. Reports suggest both riders were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
Beethu’s companion, Saravanan, also a Bihar native and worker at a crusher in Mangad, sustained critical injuries. Beethu’s body has been kept at the mortuary of Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
