Malappuram: A drug case accused brutally assaulted a car passenger after getting provoked by honking. The victim, Irshad, a native of VK Kadavu, Thrithala, Palakkad, was attacked in the incident that took place around 4:30 PM the other day. The attack happened at Changaramkulam while Irshad was traveling from Edappal to Kallumpuram. Footage showing the accused following Irshad’s vehicle and attempting to attack him has been obtained by reporters.
Irshad was traveling with his family at the time of the incident. According to the complaint, the accused verbally abused Irshad and his family after the honking. The complaint also states that the accused threatened to kill him. Changaramkulam police have launched an investigation into the case.
The attack occurred while Irshad and his family were on their way to break their fast. He stated that the accused followed their vehicle for nearly a kilometer, causing fear among his family members. Irshad identified the attacker as a man named Sumesh.
