Sultan Bathery: എക്സൈസ് റേഞ്ച് പാർട്ടി ‘ഓപ്പറേഷൻ ക്ലീൻ സ്ലേറ്റിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി, സംസ്ഥാന അതിർത്തിയായ പൊൻകുഴി ഭാഗത്ത് വെച്ച് നടത്തിയ വാഹന പരിശോധനയിൽ ബാംഗ്ലൂരിൽ നിന്നും സുൽത്താൻ ബത്തേരിക്ക് വരികയായിരുന്ന കേരള ആർ.ടി.സി ബസ്സിലെ യാത്രക്കാരനിൽ നിന്നും 16.399 ഗ്രാം മാരക മയക്കു മരുന്നായ മെത്താഫെറ്റമിൻ പിടികൂടി. സംഭവവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് കോഴിക്കോട് ജില്ലയിൽ ഒളവണ്ണ ഇരിങ്ങല്ലൂർ സ്വദേശി അദ്വൈത്. പി. റ്റി (27) എന്ന ആളെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു.
എക്സൈസ് ഇൻസ്പെക്ടർ പി ബാബുരാജിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പരിശോധന സംഘത്തിൽ പ്രിവന്റീവ് ഓഫീസർ വിനോദ് പി ആർ, സിവിൽ എക്സൈസ് ഓഫീസർമാരായ അനിൽ. എ, സുധീഷ്.കെ. കെ, ധന്വന്ത് കെ. ആർ, ആദിത്ത് വി. ആർ, രമ്യ ബി. ആർ പ്രിവന്റീവ് ഓഫീസർ ഡ്രൈവർ ബാലചന്ദ്രൻ.കെ കെ എന്നിവരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കോടതിയിൽ ഹാജരാക്കിയ പ്രതിയെ റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തു. ലഹരി കടത്ത് തടയുവാൻ അതിർത്തി പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ എക്സൈസ് കർശന പരിശോധനയാണ് നടത്തിവരുന്നത്.
Sultan Bathery: As part of ‘Operation Clean Slate’, the Excise Range team conducted a vehicle inspection at Ponkuzhi near the state border and seized 16.399 grams of the deadly drug methamphetamine from a passenger traveling on a Kerala RTC bus from Bangalore to Sultan Bathery. The accused, Adwaith P.T. (27), a native of Iringallur, Olavanna in Kozhikode district, was arrested.
The inspection team was led by Excise Inspector P. Baburaj and included Preventive Officer Vinod P.R., Civil Excise Officers Anil A., Sudheesh K.K., Dhanwanth K.R., Adith V.R., Ramya B.R., and driver Balachandran K.K. The accused was produced before court and remanded. The Excise Department is continuing strict surveillance along border areas to curb drug trafficking.
