Kozhikode: ബസ്സ് യാത്രക്കിടെ യുവതിയുടെ സ്വര്‍ണ്ണമാല കവര്‍ന്ന തമിഴ്‌നാട് സ്വദേശിനി പിടിയില്‍. തമിഴ്‌നാട് കരൂര്‍ നാമാച്ചി നഗറിലെ മുത്തുമാരി(33) ആണ് പിടിയിലായത്. വടകര-തൊട്ടില്‍പ്പാലം റൂട്ടില്‍ സര്‍വീസ് നടത്തുന്ന ഹനാന്‍ ബസ്സില്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം രാവിലെയാണ് മോഷണം നടന്നത്.
ബസ് നാദാപുരം ഭാഗത്ത് എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ വട്ടോളി സ്വദേശിനിയായ യുവതിയുടെ കഴുത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് മുത്തുമാരി മാല പൊട്ടിച്ചെടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. വളരെ ആസൂത്രിതമായായിരുന്നു മോഷണം. മുത്തുമാരിയുടെ സഹായികളെന്ന് കരുതുന്നവര്‍ ബസില്‍ കൃത്രിമമായി തിരക്ക് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചാണ് മോഷണം നടത്തിയതെന്ന് സൂചനയുണ്ട്.
എന്നാല്‍ മാല പൊട്ടിക്കുന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധയില്‍പ്പെട്ട മറ്റൊരു യാത്രക്കാരി ബഹളം വെയ്ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് നാദാപുരം പൊലീസ് സ്ഥലത്തെത്തുകയും മുത്തുമാരിയെ കസ്റ്റഡിയില്‍ എടുത്ത് സ്‌റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോവുകയും ചെയ്തു. ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യലില്‍ ഇവര്‍ കുറ്റം സമ്മതിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നാദാപുരം കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരാക്കിയ യുവതിയെ റിമാൻഡ് ചെയ്തു.
Kozhikode: A woman from Tamil Nadu was arrested for snatching a young woman’s gold necklace during a bus journey. The accused is Muthumari (33), a resident of Namachchi Nagar, Karur, Tamil Nadu. The theft took place on the Hanan bus, which operates on the Vadakara-Thottilpalam route, on a recent morning.
When the bus reached the Nadapuram area, Muthumari allegedly snatched the chain from the neck of a woman from Vattoli. The theft was carried out in a highly planned manner. It is suspected that Muthumari was assisted by others who deliberately created a crowd in the bus to facilitate the crime.
However, another passenger who noticed the snatching raised an alarm. Nadapuram police arrived at the scene and took Muthumari into custody. During interrogation, she confessed to the crime. She was presented before the Nadapuram court and has been remanded.
