മഞ്ചേരിയിൽ നിന്നും മൈസൂരിലേക്ക് പച്ചക്കറി എടുക്കാനായി പോകുകയായിരുന്നവരാണ് പിക്കപ്പിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. അപകടസ്ഥലത്ത് താമരശ്ശേരി ചുരം സംരക്ഷണ സമിതി പ്രവർത്തകർ രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനം നടത്തി. നിലവിൽ ചുരത്തിൽ ഗതാഗത തടസ്സങ്ങളൊന്നുമില്ല.
Thamarassery: A vehicle accident occurred near Chippilithodu on the Thamarassery Pass. A pickup van, a traveler, and a lorry collided while heading towards Wayanad. Four people sustained injuries, but none of them are in critical condition.
The accident happened when the lorry lost control while climbing the pass and started moving backward. As a result, the rear of the lorry hit the pickup, which was then struck by the traveler coming from behind.
Among the injured, two are residents of Manjeri and have been admitted to a private hospital in Puthuppadi. The pickup driver, Abdul Hakim, and a passenger, Kasim, sustained more serious injuries, while the other two suffered minor injuries.
The pickup was traveling from Manjeri to Mysore to transport vegetables. The Thamarassery Pass Protection Committee members assisted in the rescue operations. Traffic in the area is currently unaffected.
