Kozhikode: Thamarassery സ്കൂള്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥി മുഹമ്മദ് ഷഹബാസ് മര്‍ദ്ദനമേറ്റു മരിച്ച സംഭവത്തില്‍ പ്രതികളായ ആറ് വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളുടെയും SSLC ഫലം മെയ് 18നകം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കണമെന്ന് ബാലാവകാശ കമ്മീഷന്‍. പരീക്ഷാഫലം തടഞ്ഞുവയ്ക്കാനുള്ള തീരുമാനത്തിന് നിയമപരമായ പിന്‍ബലമില്ല. പ്ലസ്ടു പ്രവേശത്തിനുള്ള അപേക്ഷാ തീയതി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍, പരീക്ഷാഫലം പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കാത്തത് കുട്ടികളുടെ ഉപരിപഠന സാധ്യതയെ ബാധിക്കുമെന്നും ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയാണ് ബാലാവകാശ കമ്മീഷന്റെ ഉത്തരവ്.
മുഹമ്മദ് ഷഹബാസിന്റെ മരണത്തിനു പിന്നാലെ, പ്രതികളായ സഹപാഠികള്‍ക്കെതിരെ കടുത്ത പ്രതിഷേധം ഉയര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു. പിന്നാലെ, ആറുപേരുടെയും പരീക്ഷാഫലം തടഞ്ഞുവയ്ക്കാനും മൂന്ന് വര്‍ഷത്തേക്ക് പരീക്ഷ എഴുതുന്നത് വിലക്കാനും കേരള പൊതുപരീക്ഷാ ബോര്‍ഡ് ഉത്തരവിട്ടു. ഇതിനെതിരെ കുറ്റാരോപിതരായ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ രക്ഷിതാക്കളാണ് ബാലാവകാശ കമ്മീഷനെ സമീപിച്ചത്.
In the Thamarassery Shahabas murder case, the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has directed that the SSLC exam results of the six accused students be published by May 18, stating that withholding results lacks legal backing. The Commission emphasized that delaying results could harm the students’ higher education prospects, especially with Plus Two admissions underway. Earlier, the Public Examination Board had decided to withhold the results and ban the students from exams for three years, following public outrage over the incident. The students’ parents filed a complaint with the Commission, leading to the current directive.
