Thiruvambady: മാങ്ങ പറിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ മാവിൽ നിന്നും വീണ് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റ വയോധികൻ മരിച്ചു. ഓമശ്ശേരി നടമ്മൽ പൊയിൽ മാട്ടുമണ്ണിൽ അബുബക്കർ ഹാജിയാണ് (66) മരിച്ചത്. ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ പത്തു മണിയോടെയായിരുന്നു അപകടം. തിരുവമ്പാടി മറിയംപുറത്തെ വാടക വീട്ടിലെ മാവിൽ നിന്നും മാങ്ങ പറിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ കാൽതെന്നി വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു.
ഉടൻതന്നെ വീട്ടുടമസ്ഥനും നാട്ടുകാരും ചേർന്ന് തിരുവമ്പാടിയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലും തുടർന്ന് ഓമശ്ശേരിയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലും എത്തിച്ചെങ്കിലും ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല. വീട്ടുടമയുടെ സുഹൃത്തും മാട്ടുമണ്ണിൽ മഹല്ല് സെക്രട്ടറിയുമാണ് മരിച്ച അബുബക്കർ ഹാജി.
Thiruvambady: An elderly man died after sustaining serious injuries from a fall while plucking mangoes. The deceased has been identified as Abubacker Haji (66) of Mattumannil, Nadammal Poyil, Omassery.
The incident occurred around 10 AM today. He slipped and fell from a mango tree at a rented house in Mariyampuram, Thiruvambady, while plucking mangoes. Despite being rushed to a private hospital in Thiruvambady and later to another hospital in Omassery by the house owner and locals, his life could not be saved. Abubacker Haji was a friend of the house owner and also the secretary of Mattumannil Mahallu.
