Thiruvananthapuram Venjaramood യുവാവ് അഞ്ച് പേരെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി. പേരുമല സ്വദേശി അഫാൻ ആണ് കൃത്യം നടത്തിയത്. പ്രതിയുടെ സഹോദരൻ, പെൺസുഹൃത്ത്, പിതാവിന്റെ അമ്മ, ബന്ധുക്കളായ രണ്ട് പേർ എന്നിവരെയാണ് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. ഗുരുതര പരുക്കേറ്റ പ്രതിയുടെ മാതാവ് ചികിത്സയിലാണ്. പ്രതി ലഹരിക്ക് അടിമയെന്നാണ് പൊലീസ് പറയുന്നത്.
ഇന്നലെ വൈകിട്ടോടെ വെഞ്ഞാറമൂട് പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലെത്തി പേരുമല സ്വദേശി അഫാൻ ക്രൂരകൃത്യം പൊലീസിനെ അറിയിച്ചതോടുകൂടിയാണ് തലസ്ഥാനത്തെ നടുക്കിയ കൂട്ടക്കുരുതിയുടെ വിവരങ്ങൾ പുറത്തറിയുന്നത്. 3 വീടുകളിലായി 6 പേരെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയതായാണ് യുവാവ് മൊഴി നൽകിയത്. പ്രതിയുടെ പെൺസുഹൃത്ത്, സഹോദരൻ, പിതാവിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ ലത്തീഫ്, ഭാര്യ ഷാഹിദ, പിതൃമാതാവ് എന്നിവരാണ് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടത്. അഫാന്റെ മാതാവ് ഷെമിൻ ഗുരുതര പരിക്കുകളോടെ ചികിത്സയിലാണ്.
മാതാവിനെ ആക്രമിച്ചായിരുന്നു ക്രൂരകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ തുടക്കം. മാതാവിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ ഷാൾ കുരുക്കിയ ശേഷം നിലത്തേക്ക് എറിഞ്ഞു. തലയിടിച്ച് ബോധരഹിതയായ മാതാവിനെ മുറിക്കുള്ളിലാക്കിയ ശേഷം പ്രതി പോയത് പാങ്ങോടുള്ള പിതൃമാതാവിന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക്. ആഭരണം ചോദിച്ച് തർക്കമായതോടെ സൽമാ ബീവിയെ ചുറ്റിക കൊണ്ട് തലക്കടിച്ച് കൊലപ്പെടുത്തി. പിന്നീട് പിതാവിന്റെ സഹോദരനെയും ഭാര്യയെയും കൊലപ്പെടുത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. ശേഷം പെൺസുഹൃത്ത് ഫർസാനയുടേയും സഹോദരന്റെയും ജീവനെടുത്തു. കൂട്ടക്കൊലയ്ക്ക് പിന്നാലെ എലിവിഷം കഴിച്ച് ആത്മഹത്യയ്ക്ക് ശ്രമിച്ച അഫാൻ തിരുവനന്തപുരം മെഡി.കോളജിൽ ചികിത്സയിലാണ്.

A shocking mass murder in Thiruvananthapuram’s Venjaramood has left the state in fear. A youth named Afan from Perumala brutally killed five people, including his brother, girlfriend, paternal grandmother, and two relatives. His mother, who was seriously injured, is currently undergoing treatment. Police stated that the accused was addicted to drugs.
The incident came to light when Afan voluntarily reported his crime at the Venjaramood police station. He confessed to killing six people across three houses. The victims included his girlfriend, brother, uncle Latheef, Latheef’s wife Shahida, and his paternal grandmother.
The gruesome attack started with Afan assaulting his mother by strangling her with a shawl and throwing her to the ground, leaving her unconscious. He then went to his grandmother’s house in Pangode, where he killed her with a hammer after an argument over jewelry. Following this, he murdered his uncle and aunt before taking the lives of his girlfriend and her brother.
After the massacre, Afan attempted suicide by consuming poison and was admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. Before surrendering to the police, he also opened a gas cylinder, possibly intending further harm. Reports suggest financial difficulties in his family, and police are investigating whether his family’s opposition to his relationship with Farzana played a role in the crime.
