Kollam: വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയെ കുത്തിക്കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയ ശേഷം പ്രതി ആത്മഹത്യ ചെയ്‌ത സംഭവത്തിന് പിന്നിൽ പകയെന്ന് നിഗമനം. ഫെബിന്റെയും തേജസിന്റെയും വീട്ടുകാർ തമ്മിൽ അടുത്ത ബന്ധമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഫെബിന്റെ സഹോദരിയുമായി കല്യാണം വാക്കാൽ ഉറപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇരുവരും ബാങ്ക് കോച്ചിങ്ങിന് ഒരുമിച്ച് പഠിച്ചവരാണ്. ഇവർ പ്രണയത്തിലായിരുന്നു.
ഇന്റർവ്യൂവിന് തേജസ്സാണ് പെൺകുട്ടിയെ കാറിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയത്. എന്നാൽ ഫെബിയുടെ സഹോദമിയുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം വഷളായതോടെ തേജസ് രാജ് കടുത്ത മനോവിഷമത്തിലായി. യുവതിയെ കല്യാണം കഴിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യവുമായി തേജസ് പല തവണ ഫെബിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു.
തേജസ് രാജിനെ പിതാവ് കൗൺസിലിംഗിന് വിധേയമാക്കിയിരുന്നുവെന്നും പൊലീസ് പറയുന്നു. രണ്ട് കുപ്പി പെട്രോളുമായാണ് പ്രതി ഫെബിന്റെ വീട്ടിലെത്തിയത്. ജസ് നാക്ക് കുത്താൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച കത്തി ഫെബിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് എടുത്തതാണെന്നും പൊലീസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
തിങ്കളാഴ്ച്ച വൈകിട്ട് 6.48 ഓടെ യാണ് 22കാരനായ തേജസ് രാജു വാഗൺആർ കാറിൽ ഫെബിന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കെത്തിയത് ബുർഖ ധരിച്ച ശേഷമാണ് തേജസ് ഫെബിൻ്റെ വീട്ടുമുറ്റത്തേക്ക് എത്തിയത്.
രണ്ട് കുപ്പി പെട്രോളും തേജസ് കയ്യിൽ കരുതിയിരുന്നു. ഫെബിന്റെ ദേഹത്തേക്ക് പെട്രോൾ ഒഴിക്കാനാണ് തേജസ് ആദ്യം ശ്രമിച്ചതെന്നാണ് വിവരം. ഇതിനിടെ ഫെബിന്റെ പിതാവ് പുറത്തേക്കിറങ്ങി വന്നതോടെയാണ് പെട്രോൾ ഒഴിക്കാനുള്ള തീരുമാനം മാറ്റിയത്.
ഉടൻ കയ്യിൽ കരുതിയിരുന്ന കത്തിയെടുത്ത് ഫെബിന്റെ നെഞ്ചിൽ കുത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. തടയാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച പിതാവ് ജോർജ് തോമസിനും ആക്രമണത്തിൽ പരിക്കേറ്റു. പിന്നീട് കത്തി ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് കാറിൽ കയറി തേജസ് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. മൂന്ന് കിലോമീറ്ററോളം കാറോടിച്ച് ചൊൻമക്ക് റെയിൽവേ ഓവർബ്രിഡ്ജിന് താഴെയെത്തി ഇവിടെ വാഹനം നിർത്തി തേജസ് കൈത്തരമ്പ് മുറിച്ച ശേഷം പുറമേ ഇറങ്ങി. ഉടനെ തന്നെ വന്ന ട്രെയിനിൻ മുന്നിലേക്ക് എടുത്തുചാടി ജീവനൊടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
A student was stabbed to death in Kollam, and the suspect later died by suicide. Investigations suggest revenge as the motive. Febin and Tejas had close family ties, and Tejas was informally engaged to Febin’s sister. They had studied together for bank coaching and were in a relationship.
Tejas had taken the girl for an interview in his car. However, after his relationship with Febin’s sister deteriorated, Tejas Raj became deeply depressed. He repeatedly approached Febin’s family with a request to marry her.
According to the police, Tejas Raj had undergone counseling by his father. On the day of the incident, he arrived at Febin’s house with two bottles of petrol. The knife he used to stab Febin was taken from their home.
At 6:48 PM on Monday, 22-year-old Tejas Raj arrived at Febin’s house in a WagonR car, disguised in a burqa. He initially attempted to pour petrol on Febin, but as Febin’s father, George Thomas, came outside, he changed his plan.
Tejas then pulled out a knife and stabbed Febin in the chest. George Thomas, who tried to intervene, also sustained injuries. After the attack, Tejas abandoned the knife, got into his car, and fled.
He drove about three kilometers to Chonmakk Railway Overbridge, where he parked the car. He then slashed his wrist, exited the vehicle, and jumped in front of an oncoming train, ending his life.
